Quality Tests

We guarantee the durability of each structure with accurate and reliable quality tests.

Civil structures with deep foundations need to meet stiffness, safety and reliability requirements, making quality control a critical component in construction. At PIMOSA we perform non-destructive testing methods that do not affect the structure under test and do not damage or destroy the test sample, and that allow us to identify flaws such as cracks, voids or discontinuity, to verify the geotechnical resistance and its compliance with the purposes for which it has been designed.

Load Testing

The strategy for a load test should be established during the foundation design stage. Although in most projects the main objective is to validate the design prior to construction or to verify compliance with a quality standard or specification, performing these tests at the design stage, either to support the design or for research purposes for a better solution, will bring a benefit to the project that will provide certainty in the selected foundation solution.

Integrity Testing

The test consists of applying small deformations to the head of a pile, pile, column or wall, by means of an instrumented hammer; this signal travels through the concrete at a speed of approximately 3800 m/s, and the wave is reflected as soon as it locates a discontinuity in the concrete, either an increase in the section of the pile, a decrease of the pile, contamination of the concrete by silt or the toe of a pile. Proper interpretation of the results requires a high level of knowledge and experience.
